Terms of Service
1. The Service
Project LFG (“we”, “us”) is an online service that helps people find teammates and collaborate on projects (including profiles, listings, applications, chats, and related features). The service is under active development at an early stage: features, performance, and availability may change; we provide support on a best-effort basis. By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to Project LFG (operator based in Russia). Nothing here is legal advice.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must meet the minimum age in our Privacy Policy and have capacity to agree to these terms in your jurisdiction. You may register with an email address and password and/or sign in with Google where offered. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at artgreg.tga@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Project LFG lawfully and respectfully. Without limitation, you must not: harass, threaten, or defame others; spam or scam; impersonate people or organizations; distribute malware or attempt to break, overload, or bypass security; scrape or collect data from the service in breach of these terms or applicable law; post extremist content, incitement to hatred, non-consensual intimate imagery, or other unlawful material. You are responsible for your own conduct and for content you submit.
4. Your Content and Licence to Us
You retain ownership of your content. To operate the service, you grant Project LFG a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, perform, and distribute your content on and through Project LFG, and to adapt it only as needed for technical delivery (for example formatting, resizing images, generating previews, backups, and moderation). This licence is for running and improving the platform—not for selling your content separately or using it for unrelated advertising unless we notify you and obtain consent where required by law. You confirm you have the rights to grant this licence.
5. Copyright and Other IP Complaints
If you believe content on Project LFG infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact us at artgreg.tga@gmail.com with: a description of the work or right concerned; the location (URL or screen description) of the material; your contact details; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act. We may remove or disable access to material we reasonably believe is infringing and may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
6. Third-Party Services
The service may integrate third-party authentication (for example Google OAuth). Your use of those services is also governed by the third party’s terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond making reasonable integration choices.
7. Moderation, Suspension, and Termination
We may moderate the service to protect users and comply with law. We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or restrict features if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, pose a security or legal risk, or if we must do so to comply with law or protect the service. We will try to give notice where practical, but immediate action may be required. You may stop using the service at any time; you may also request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy, subject to lawful retention.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Project listings and teammate matching are informational; we do not guarantee outcomes of collaborations, employment, or commercial relationships between users.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Project LFG and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the minimum amount that applicable law requires in situations of this kind when liability is contractually limited (or zero if the law does not set such a minimum), or (b) the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim—if you have not paid us, (a) alone applies. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
10. Governing Law
Unless mandatory local law says otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of Russia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts or tribunals in that jurisdiction may have exclusive competence for disputes, except where you have non-waivable rights as a consumer in your country of residence. If any provision is invalid, the remainder stays in effect.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service by posting a new version on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service (for example a notice or email) where practical. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires a different process.
